The purpose of the Chelan-Douglas County Medical Society is to provide for the professional, political, and social needs of its members, and to provide health-related community service.
These goals will be met by:
- maintaining an active Board of Directors to provide leadership and to oversee the financial health of the organization
- advancing the standards of medical practice by verifying the credentials of members and acting as a forum for medical education and debate
- providing a unifying forum for members of diverse clinical and professional settings, and by offering a relaxed setting for members and spouses to socialize
- disseminating information on legislation that affects medicine
- advocating for the health of the community and supporting those activities which address those needs
- mediating physician and patient disputes
- acting as a referral service for physicians
